Directions
Hot Honey Peach Syrup
Drop four peaches into boiling water for approximately 30 second then blanch them to make removing the skin easier. Peel the peaches, remove the pits, and dice into ½ inch pieces.
Place peaches, hot honey, water, and brown sugar into a saucepan and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 10 minutes then remove from heat.
Once the syrup has cooled, puree it using an immersion blender. Put in the fridge to finish cooling.
Vanilla Ice Cream Base
In a medium bowl, use a hand mixer on low speed or whisk to combine the milk, sugar and salt until the sugar is dissolved. Stir in the heavy cream and vanilla. Cover and refrigerate 1 to 2 hours, or overnight.
Turn on the ice cream maker; pour the mixture into the frozen freezer bowl and let mix until thickened, about 15 to 20 minutes. Add the hot honey peach syrup and mix until combined.
The ice cream will have a soft, creamy texture. If a firmer consistency is desired, transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and place in freezer for about 2 hours.
