Wondering what to do with extra Halloween candy? These Halloween Candy Cookie Bars are the perfect solution! Packed with chunks of leftover chocolate bars and festive candy pieces, this easy recipe transforms surplus sweets into soft, chewy cookie...

Ingredients

  • 1 egg + 1 egg yolk
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 10 tbsp melted butter, cooled slightly
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup chopped candy bars + more for topping

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare an 9-inch square cake pan with baking spray and brush with a pastry brush to distribute spray evenly across the pan and up the sides.
  2. In a medium bowl, beat the eggs and add the brown sugar, granulated sugar, melted butter and vanilla.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add the dry mixture to the egg mixture.
  4. Chop and fold in 1 cup of your favorite candy bars (we love Snickers, Reeses, KitKats, and M&Ms). Spread the batter evenly into prepared pan.
  5. Bake 16- 18 minutes or until lightly browned. While the bars are still hot, press additional candy bars into the top. Allow to cool completely.
