Family Fun Night With A Fail Proof Pizza Dough Recipe

We've used this Bobby Flay Pizza Dough recipe for years in my household, and it never fails! It has a delicious flavor, and is easily worked into your desired pizza crust thickness!

We love making personal sized pizzas for big family dinners because everyone can customize their pizza to their own taste! In my house we like to offer two to three pizza sauce options: traditional red sauce, a white garlic or Alfredo sauce, and a pesto sauce. My personal favorite combo is to use a white sauce base, cook my pizza, then add a pesto drizzle over the top!

You can get as creative as you want to when it comes to pizza toppings! Obviously Mozzarella is essential, but I like to offer shredded Mozzarella, as well as fresh or pearl Mozzarella for textural diversity! Other great cheese options include goat cheese, feta cheese, and gorgonzola, Parmigiano Reggiano!

When it comes to vegetables, the options are endless. After surveying my friends and family, our favorite veggies include: thin sliced sweet onion, purple onion, as well as, sautéd onions, artichoke hearts, crushed garlic, roasted red peppers, sun dried tomatoes, olives (black or green), mushrooms, jalapeños, sliced tomato!

Meats can get expensive, so we recommend choosing two to three options for the group to choose from. The most popular options are pepperoni, chicken, salami, and meatballs!

Like I mentioned above, I always top my pizza off with a sauce drizzle after it comes out of the oven. Offering a couple of creative sauce choices allows for so much more freedom when your family is deciding what toppings they want! Some of our favorite options to drizzle are garlic aioli, bbq sauce, buffalo sauce, and pesto!

It's always good to have a variety of spices and herbs on standby for finishing your pizzas. Chopped basil, dried oregano, finishing salt, and crushed red pepper are my go-to choices!

If your family enjoys the finer flavors, consider trying prosciutto, figs, arugula, or pears! These delicate flavors pair perfectly with an olive oil base and balsamic or honey drizzle.

And last, but certainly not least, the dessert pizza! It's rare that I get to make one, but I adore dessert pizzas. My favorite combination is a nutella base topped with pear and mascarpone. The youngsters will have a blast making a nutella pizza covered with marshmallows and chocolate chips! You can also brush your crust with a cinnamon sugar spread and drizzle a simple icing glaze over the top for an instant cinnamon roll pizza!

No matter what toppings you and your family choose, we know you'll have so much fun creating your own masterpieces and creating new memories together! If you have a favorite pizza topping that we missed, please let us know what it is in the comments! We are always looking for new flavors to try!
