Chef Nikki Pettineo is about to let you in on what might be the most well kept secret in the global food community. Most cultures around the world start their dishes with a unique blend of aromatics that are the gateway to your palate's worldly adventure. You may not even know it, but the foundation of what makes Chinese cuisine, French cuisine, Cajun cuisine and Haitian cuisine unique lies in the very first thing that is added to the pot, aromatics. In this class, she will teach you how to use the French Mirepoix, the Creole/Haitian Epis, and the Cantonese Style Trinity to create delicious, authentic meals.

Knife Sharpening

Browns Kitchen offers knife sharpening at 75¢ per inch of the blade. We are able to sharpen most kitchen knives, including serrated blades. We are unable to sharpen scissors, pocket knives, and ceramic blades. When you bring your knives in, a team member will do a brief knife consultation where they examine the knife brand, style, and existing condition to assess if we are able to sharpen your knives using our equipment. We try our best to have a 24 hour turnaround time, but it can take up to 48 hours.
