Saturday, May 12th, 10AM-1PM, $45 Per Person, Chef Menia Chester, Limit 16

In this hands on water bath canning class you will make and take home jar of

Strawberry Jam and a jar of Pickled Three Bean Salad.  You will also learn some of the basics of canning and freezing, including how to use a water bath canner to preserve pickles, jam, and jellies.

Bio:  Menia L. Chester has received numerous awards in her field and is recognized nationally as an innovative leader in the areas of food deserts, farmers markets, nutrition education, and leadership development.  Before recently moving to Tallahassee, she has served as the Director of the Fulton County Cooperative Extension Department for over five years. Menia works with leaders throughout United States working to solve issues surrounding leadership development, farming, hunger, nutrition education and cooking education.
