Bio:  A native of the Fort Lauderdale area, Chef Nikki Pettineo earned her Culinary Arts degree from Johnson and Wales University in 2007. She quickly began her career as a private chef for some of the most talented athletes in the NFL by executing homegrown, power-packed meals for athletes from the Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and New York Giants. Chef Pettineo also developed a successful catering and event business to progress her love of true nutritious, comfort foods with a gourmet flare.  In 2008, she opened her restaurant, Bash Wine Café and Catering where she and her team earned the “Best Comfort Foods 2010” award from the Miami New Times.  In 2011, Chef Pettineo took her career to the sea and served as Sous Chef on a 240-foot yacht, M/Y Utopia. Her maritime adventures took her cross-Atlantic to over 20 different countries and influenced her cooking style to feature international cuisine and technique.

Today, Chef Pettineo is a Chef Instructor for Keiser University, Tallahassee, teaching classes that range from the principles of cooking to advance French cuisine, fine dining, and baking and pastry.  She is also a Certified Executive Chef through the American Culinary Federation and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts/Food Service Management. Chef Pettineo is a happy transplant to the Tallahassee area and when she is not cooking, you’ll find her spending time in the garden or playing with her best furry dog friend, Brayden.
