Get back on track with your diet!  Learn how to cut calories without sacrificing taste!  Let’s take a trip to the Mediterranean where the food is bursting with flavor and tasty too! In this hands-on class you will learn how to read labels and prepare a healthy balanced meal that is good for you and your waistline! Class Limit 16

Bruschetta made with Tomatoes, Basil, and Garlic served on Crusty Ciabatta Bread, Herbed Quinoa with Garlic and Parsley, Mediterranean Couscous with Zucchini and Yellow Squash, Lentil Soup topped with Fresh Tomatoes, Basil and Chives with a Side of Fattoush-a Lebanese Styled Salad 

Portions of this class will be Hands-On and some parts will be demonstration style.

Bio:  Menia L. Chester has received numerous awards in her field and is recognized nationally as an innovative leader in the areas of food deserts, farmers markets, nutrition education, and leadership development.  Before recently moving to Tallahassee, she has served as the Director of the Fulton County Cooperative Extension Department for over five years. Menia works with leaders throughout United States working to solve issues surrounding leadership development, farming, hunger, nutrition education and cooking education.
